Solar panel efficiency is determined by two main factors, the photovoltaic (PV) cell efficiency based on the silicon type, and the total panel efficiency, based on the cell layout configuration, and panel size. Increasing the panel size can also increase efficiency due to creating a larger surface area to capture sunlight. With the most powerful solar panels now achieving up to seven hundred watts power ratings. Cell design plays a significant role in panel efficiency. Key features include the silicon type, busbar configuration, and passivation type (PERC) Panel built. Using high-cost IBC cells are currently the most efficient (20-22%) due to the high purity N-type silicon substrate and no losses from busbar shading. however, panels developed using the latest monocrystalline PERC cells and more advanced heterojunction (HJT) cells have achieved efficiency levels well above 20%. Another contributing factor in panel efficiency is the quality of tempered glass used, a high transmissive tempered glass with a low iron content and anti reflective coating yields the highest efficiency ratings.

Radiant Technology is committed to using the highest quality materials, with cost effective techniques to provide a superior product at competitive prices. This is backed by a twenty-five (25) year performance warranty against manufacturer’s defects. Specifically, the warranty provides guaranteed electrical production for ten (10) years at ninety (90) percent of rated output, and twenty-five (25) years at eighty (80) percent of rated power output.
